I'm on a well / septic system. If you want to take care of your leech field, you are careful about what you put down there and how much water your use. We have a 2 gpm shower head with a valve for lathering up, so we use less than 8 gallons per shower even with shaving. All of our appliances are EcoStar too. Last year we had our tank inspected and pumped (it's law now) and it was only 1/2 full after 10 years. It was in great shape. Cost: $350. That's for ten years of sewage disposal. I agree. I mean, it makes sense in a really tight RV where the sink/toilet/shower are all in one 36"x36" closet. But in a home? And that large? Why not just have a shower enclosure? And if your water isn't really soft with low dissolved solids you're going to have water spots and/or crusty shit all over everything. They don't make a squeegee that large. Dumb.
