We never did. Only half the class would be sweaty enough to warrant it most days. We had a couple showers but the main obstacles to people using them after PE was:
- Time: you only had 5 minutes at the start and end of each lesson to get changed.
- Hygiene: When the toilets had too many people in them, rather than queue up people would piss in the showers.
- Homophobia: There was a golden rule for using the change rooms, you must at all times either have a shirt or shorts. If you had both off you would be promptly whipped with either a tie or belt depending on how fat you were. Also if you had gay underwear, you received a whipping.

I can only recall once ever in my whole schooling someone using the shower and midway through there was a fire-drill so they had to stand in just a towel on the football field while everyone's names were marked off.
