>Americans actually have names like "Buck", "Chip" and "Skip"
My Grandpa had a nickname called Buck, only because he disliked "Arlo"
Also, the reason for the "Grampa Joe" was that he did two tours in Vietnam. So I likened him to GI Joe as a little kid, and it stuck.
Black american names are probably the funniest
I remember once at the pool some kid was talking to the lifeguard asking if the water had chemicals that made it turn colors if you pissed in it. The lifeguard said yes and the kid yelled across the pool something like "FUCK, BUBBAH WAIT NO DON'T"
Every fucking teenage guy from USA is named Jason or Jake or some shit like that
A long time ago I used to think that black names like Shaniqua were rare or meme stuff... until I began working at a call center.
I wish I could remember some of those nigger names, jesus christ. I could barely understand some of them as well.
I had to choose an english name so they wouldn't think I was a beaner so I chose Randy and tried to emulate the South Park character and apparently Randy is a common name.
I also find it funny when people here have some super brown indigenous looking kid and name it "Brayan" (Brian) or Kevin. I knew a guy named Kevin Sanchez and everyone called him "gringo" even though he was brown as fuck.
They're trying to sound unequivocally African American. Part of the 70s black pride movement was making black American culture just as unique, identifiable, and defined as Mexican culture or Jewish culture.
This often involves the incorporation of French, Arabic, or West African elements.
I thought they were trying to get in touch with their African roots or some shit to do with the Black Power movement, so they took names from African Tribes, a lot of which had actual meanings behind them, and a LOT started making up names that sounded African , a. because they didn't know shit about any African culture or tribe names, and b. it was most likely a trendy thing to do in the black community, having names that sounded like they were African and they had meanings behind them, instead of just using white people names that they pretty much had kept and passed down since their slave ancestors had their names changed by the slave masters.
Fucking millenials. I hate it here.
Why do so many have such a problem with swimming that it's become a joke?
Yes I'm not OP but I post it all the time
This isn't exactly a new idea, we actually had a problem on a physics test in high school where the black kid drowned and the white guy didn't and we used the densities to show why
Here's a government study related to it
