Yep. The first Oxxo just opened in LA last month. They want to put them all over California and Texas. There have already been Chedraui here for a few years. They rebranded them as "El Super" but kept all the same signage. You can tell they're authentically Mexican by all the Hondas and pickups parked out front.

They look the same as regular mexicans. I know someone whose mother is from Finland and his dad is a Tarahumara. I think they met because his father is a marathon runner as well as his mother, don't ask me about it, but their kids look like the everyday mestizo in the city, albeit a little more light skinned.
