How do we fix Spain? And I'm not talking about genocide and secessionism ideas. Tell me your ideas, /int/, Spaniards especially

Now, I'm really interested in the country, so it's not my goal to shitpost through the entire thread. What else can be done to continue and perhaps accelerate Spanish growth? I believe it's cultural. It's proper to seek causes and symptoms in distant history. Ever since the Roman divide of Iberia, the locals followed a strange, warrior-duke like model of society based on very faulty feudalism. The Christian-Muslim divide and conflicts helped deepen this society and give it a new, religious dimension. From the adelantados and encomiendas to the reducciones in the mismanaged colonies, golden inflation and a good 16th and 17th century military run to sustain its extravagance, Spain has had it all, except a sound economy. For example, the population of Spain before the discovery of the Americas was around 10 million, about the end of the 15th century, it sank to 8 million. Imagine the conditions for two milion people to escape. Ever since the Middle Ages, the culture of idleness gripped Spain. The kings suffered to create so many titles for impoverised nobles that these people would rather all be petty militiamen than work the land and gain wealth through it. Now we're getting to the greatest shame of Spanish history: Agriculture. It is estimated that one third of Spanish land was wastes, and they imported grains even from Poland and the Baltic states. Not even going to mention their industries like cloth/wool, iron and such. The Spanish were never predispoed for work. Spanish culture is a culture of vagrancy, previously, military vagrancy. Now we have a situation where the Spaniards are apparently thinking shortsightedly again. Spending pensions to incentivize shitty, but steadily rising domestic consumtpion. How long until this ride lasts, with already unchecked banking system and badly reformed public sector?

If we cannot genocide the socialists, there is not any possible solution.
>>
Totalitarianism is the solution. We need a strong, nationalistic government. That and proteccionist policies, investment on industries, nationalisations... We need many reforms.
>>
>>51106093
Socialism is a part of your mentality, not just your politics. You need to redesign "the Spaniard". How would you do that? Education and healthcare especially. Interested in the Spanish point of view
>>
Replace their population with Northern Europeans.
>>
>>51106312
Protectionism is a hard lesson through Spanish history. It failed miserably multiple times. I think you're trying to secure a place for Spanish products on the market, but there are better methods than protectionism
>>
>>51105478
We send all spaniards to Morroco and let Brits take over the peninsule
>>
>>51106362
All countries were developed through protectionism, the now liberal USA used to have really high tariffs. So yeah, we need protectionism.
>>
>>51106637
And in exactly that time, Spain used to have high tariffs on precious metal and within years the inflation went up like pouring gas to tame a fire and imports of metal fell from 14 million in worth to 1,4 million in worth of then's currency. The alcabala/cientos fucked up Spanish economy. Remember the rule of Philip II and III and how many times Spain went bankrupt because of protectionism? The only reason American companies needed protectionism was to start up their industry. Cheap labour would have nowhere to work, if American started on the free trade path, since America had fierce competition across the globe. They abandoned hard protectionism after America became a global manufacturer, around 1880es and onwards. This change between protectionism to free trade, immigration as key point to available workforce and hilariously good crediting - flow of capital between institutions to loaners led America to become the world's manufactory
tl;dr God bles 'merica

>>
>>51107015
That wasn't because of protectionism, but because of inflation (too much gold while the productivity didn't increase). You are giving me reason, America needed protectionism to devleop, as all countries. We didn't really make the transition from an agricultural-based economy to an industrial one. We need protectionism or we will always be the beach of Europe. That's why we need strong leadership, like the one South Korea had with Park Chung Hee or the nowadays Chinese regime.
>>
we end self-hate, laziness, selfishness, corruption and uneducated leftists. There you have a nice country
>>
>>51107224
You didn't make any kind of transition. Spain was sustained by endless wars and crippling taxes. The 40 million spent in wars to return Benelux into fold could have been spent to capitalize the Castilian cloth industry or any northern industry for that fact

>That wasn't because of protectionism, but because of inflation (too much gold while the productivity didn't increase)
I gave you a cause. Gold was treated almost as an agricultural good in Spain. It was one of the best taxable product on the market, so Spaniards tried to monopolize on it. As for protectionism in the home country, what was there to protect? Spain relied on import

>>51107394
How do you end them?

You said it as if culture didn't change. Foreigners said that Japanese were lazy before industrialisation. Corruption is very related to development too.

Yugoslavia and Spain were never in a similar historical or economic setup. Yugoslavia was sharply undeveloped and sharply contrasting, while Spain was always on the plank. Your country has around 45 million people. It has the potential to have 10 trillion GDP, not your current measily ~1,3 trillion. With the right painful cuts and redesign of autonomous communities... Spain can achieve GREATNESS

Spain is destined for greatness, mi hermanos. No puedes ver?
>>
>>51108656

There is no way you can do that, autonomous communities are a bureaucratic construct made to ensure politicians and bureaucrats can earn money without actually working.

What about your grandees? Totalitarians? Dictators you mention in the posts above?
The heart of the bleeding reform starts from Castilian lands, since historically, shit was always brought from Castile into surrounding regions. Check the banking system. Ravage them like conquistadors did New Spain. Get them in line and when you do, you can start reforming the public sector. It's time to cut it down again. Increase import tax, introduce regressive taxing for the time being and reroll on the VAT, go back to what, 18%? Got to play the game if you want to win. EU destroyed our industrial and agricultural potential. It's time to bring it back

>Fixing Spain

Why keep trying to fix something that just doesn't work.

The best thing that could happen to us is an agreed dissolution that allow us to control ourselves.

It has no sense that two regions like Andalusia and Euskadi should have a common economy or being the one and the other united, because that makes both economies work worse.

This is how you make Spain a Tajikistan tier economy. Send all the people to other, functional EU countries and make them send money back to their families, making the most of Spanish economy from its workers abroad
>>
-Out of Euro, EU and NATO
-Change to one-party political system
-State owned economy, foment massive industrialization of the country to not depend on tourism
- Foment patriotism, but not in the retarded francoist way, but boosting the different cultures and languages of Spain as the important part of the spanish national identity they are.
-Build forced labour camps for prisoners
-More strict borders, and possibly deport all morrocans from Ceuta and Melilla
-Annex the shit out of Portugal

Spain solved.

and "Imperial Spain: 1469-1716", along with many other Croatian publications, articles about Spanish history and such. Conveniently, 60% of the book were hungry Spanish people and hungry Spanish wars

goyim, I know you know that paying in taxes make everything cheaper than an individual pay, that's why you're so obsessed in that demagogy of taxes.

Less taxes means higher individual payments and more benefites to your enterprises. The person will think that he's paying what he wants but the reality is that he is paying more for some services and making the omnipresent nose richer.
