Are there any artists here that started browsing /ic/ when they were /beg/ tier and got to a pretty decent level (even by /ic/ standards)?

i did, back in like 2010/2011, but i also left pretty shortly afterwards an got gooder elsewhere. i tend to return during slumps in work to try and help people before i get too annoyed by the typical 4chan atmosphere cause a friend's really good art advice when i was first starting out really helped me realize what i like about art and how to get there

If you're using /ic/ as anything other than a knowledge repository, you're doing it wrong.

I'm listening. I'm trying to get good as a nearly /beg/ and I feel /ic/ just isn't giving the beginner the extra needed push.
