"The highest form of art pertains to the spiritual."
-Michaelangelo
Animefags will never recover, this is why art like his work in the Sistine chapel are immortalized whereas anime is just cheap junk art forgotten in a few years. Why are you still wasting your life on trying to draw anime?
go back to Africa. black ass
Because Michelangelo will never draw us furry futa porn that will save many people. His works offers nothing spiritual.
If Michaelangelo were alive he would draw anime.
Tfw not an angry man having a crisis of faith due to repressed homosexuality who vents his frustrations into works of beauty.
spirituality doesn't exist anymore.
What's his best statue?

Being able to channel energy is one of the things lost in modern times. In these secular times, people tend to believe things like this are mystic bullshit. When people get angry they just try to muffle it with mind numbing activities like TV or alcohol. When people get sad they take drugs, some even recommended by doctors.
Instead of harnessing those feelings to better themselves and reevaluate their lives, the modern man willingly goes through life in a dazed numbed state, so long as they get to avoid these bad negative feelings.

Because tapping into some form of spiritual meaning in your art is not done via superficial style choices, but through actual substance of what it is you want to express. I'd wager Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai etc have achieved a far deeper spiritual message through their art than anything a simpleton like you can ever hope to create. And most of all, they were able to connect to other people with said message, something you will also never be able to do, which is the root source of your frustration with popular stuff like anime to begin with. You feel under-valued and under-appreciated.

>Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai
Two of the biggest hacks in the anime industry, try harder.
I feel I like art, prayer and dreams kind of run together. Since returning to the faith, I'd have a lot of déjà vu moments where it was like, 'you prayed for this exact thing fifteen years ago' or 'you prayed for this when you were like, twelve'. I made a lot of creative prayers as a kid and promptly forgot them since I never kept a prayer book, so it's been amazing to recollect things... very often you're annoyed at getting what you asked for, or you might find yourself bewildered by it. I would never know how to demonstrate my spiritual side in art though, it might sound cliché but there's a lot to be thankful for, generally.

>anime isn't spiritual
>anime isn't immortalized even tho it's replicated into millions of copies and encoded digitally vs a single bombable building
>implying you even watch anime outside of death note
>>3124997
Unfortunately you having shit taste doesn't win you this argument.
anime is a style, not a way of thinking, i see no reason most things cant be applied to it, people just choose not to.
Superbook was my jam, I thought all anime was dedicated to the worship of Christ.

Both of them are the typical flashy animation/visual but plain shitty story. Now, it's okay if your focus is the visuals, but they must serve the plot and viceversa, if you have no story and just flashiness then your work just becomes something close to maturbation.
>>3125013
Maybe their stories just go over your head? I dunno, you do sound fairly dumb. There clearly is a story and a deeper meaning to their work that most people seem to understand just fine. Miyazaki's work especially from like 20- 30 years ago wouldn't be remembered so fondly by millions of people around the world if the stories themselves didn't have any impact on them.
>>3125019
Not really, they have a story but they are just really mediocre, people now their movies mainly for the visuals; look for any talk about Miyazaki and the focus is always the animation.
>>3124965
Anime is a joke, if Michaelangelo were alive he would paint badass dudes and hot chicks like Frank Frazetta.
>>3125023
Not really. If anything the stand-out visuals most remember are the beautiful backgrounds and iconic character designs. The animation itself, although done very well, is hardly ever talked about. You don't sound like you are around people very much, let alone hear them talk about anything. Which explains your whole "everyone is stupid except for me" mentality, which ironically is pretty much the antithesis of any claim of spirituality. If you are unable to understand your fellow humans and why they enjoy the things they enjoy, how can you ever hope to create art that connects to the human spiritual nature?
You really are a sad and tragic case. But keep on ranting about anime, I'm sure that is what will fill that hole inside you. if it doesn't work, maybe you can move on to ranting about video games or e-celebs or something. That seems right up your intellectual alley.
>>3124947
The actually following the spiritual footsteps of artists like Michaelangelo, da Vinci and Tarkovsky. I won't let you down lads.
>>3125030
You don't get it, I understand why people enjoy these type of movies, if I didn't I would just say "I don't know why people like this crap", I'm just saying that they are not really that good, because they rely on the visuals and neglect a good plot.
>>3125037
> I understand why people enjoy these type of movies
Well, clearly you don't if you believe they enjoy them because of flashy visuals.

>tfw extremely tolling to bring about the vision in my mind along with my real world responsibilities, dazed not through external substances but through sloth
Every day I have to focus on the little victories. It's the only way to bring about my creation in time.

Were you wringing your fedora in your hands as you wrote this?
>>3125013
You can say that about Shinkai's films but def not Miyazaki's.
>watch a painting
>oh this is pretty neato I like what what they did with the contours
>forget about it hour later
>watch anime
>connect with other people on deep emotional level
>recall the anime years later with joy and nostalgia

>>3124947

Anything that's up to your tastes.

The burden of the pretentious fine artist. They desperately want to pretend their work has any sort of influence on an emotional, spiritual and cultural level, yet they look down on all artforms that actually DO have that sort of influence.

This. Anime and animation in general could b used for so much more, but everything's just trope fuelled nonsense
>>3124947
OP you're a larping autist and there's nothing wrong with good anime
>>3125278
>Anime and animation in general could b used for so much more
Like what? What type of story, genre and subject matter would a genius like you express through animation that all the dirty plebs in this world just couldn't come up with yet?

Shut up and post your art contrarian faggot
