Download instagram and look up karl kopinski. He puts a lot of sketches and paintings up there. I haven't found anywhere to see Iaian mccaig's work unfortunately.

My father is actually a cousin of a very famous bass player of a certain very famous heavy metal band and although they hung out all the time when they were kids-teens, as soon as he got famous, he pretty much cut ties with the rest of his family that's not his mom, his wife, and his kids.
You can't expect to try to be their friend, you should just learn from what they do best.
