What does this board think of art theft in the context of reposting or non-commercial use? It's a big topic I see thrown around on twitter without much nuance, imo. Art is a product of skilled labor, and should be valued the same as other media. But I suppose the argument to be made is the distribution.
The internet doesn't exactly have art galleries. da and such is mainly for hobbyists to publically display their work on their own accounts. It is also the nature of the internet for people to easily download images to share with others(and rampant piracy).
Many sites such as this one rely heavily on sharing these images. There are game, comic, and cartoon avatars everywhere. I've always seen booru sites as more like a resource than theft. I'm in favor of all this as long as the artist is fully credited

the internet does have art galleries, like the art galleries have websites with high quality photos of the art in their galleries and on top of that there's google art project and other collections like that
