watching a BBC documentary on British artist Gluck. (Hannah Gluckstein). Good gosh she is a mediocre artist
(((Gluckstein)))

Jews were always at the heart of the movement to replace the Western realist art tradition with shitty postmodernism. You don't see very many great Jewish representational painters.

Her flowers seem to be the best thing she did, but even then some of them are rather sloppy.

Carroll Dunham (pic related) makes six figures off his paintings regularly and is married to a Jewess.
John Currin's work is valued in the millions and he's also married to a Jewess.
Both of them portray degenerate subject matters. Dunham's daughter is well-known for having molested her younger sister.
really makes you think
Looks like she didn't read the sticky

>really makes you thin
That you're ruining my /thread with load of bullshit

I think it's more that she had money, was sexually outstanding and a socialite. I can't see it in her art really compared to for example Laura Knight, though they are all a bit stuffy.
>>3115114
>jews were always shit at art
>they were the original iconoclasts too
It's wonder they're so jelly at goy artists and had to create postmodernism
>Britain doesn't appreciate or understand painting

Their religion says they are the Chosen Race and all other races were created to be their servants. To see the lower races creating things more beautiful than their own culture fills them with envy. So they seek to debase it. Sounds crazy, but they talk about this constantly.

Does artwork like this have any redeeming value? It's not surprising that it's probably quite indicative of how fucked up the Dunham family is considering that Lena Dunham thought nothing wrong of admitting to molesting her younger sister and putting small rocks up her younger sister's vagina. No label suits it better than "degenerate."
>>3115342
>mitting to molesting her younger sister and putting small rocks up her younger sister's vagin
Everybody was doing that sort of thing tough.
>>3115342
>artwork needs redeeming value
>if it doesnt fit my narrow political views, it has no value
What Lena did is very wrong, but 'degenerate' is a loaded term. And Lena is not her parents.
>>3115391
>'degenerate' is a loaded term.
How would you describe something that ignores the principles and theories set before it then?
>>3115114
the CIA funded modernism in america because no one liked it, as a result now it's what people think "art" is
>>3115391
how is degenerate a loaded term. I would say that is pretty accurate word of Dunham's work if you ask me.
>>3115159
This, they literally admit it, but leftards will still calim it's all a conspiracy.
>>3115468
quotation then, if they talk about it constantly, find 3 times a jewish person has said they are intentional debasing western culture
>>3115090
I am following a few art history blogs and they tend to chimp out from time to time when they claim there is this big patriarchal conspiracy deleting female painters from history. They really try hard to make that narrative work and it seems like the newest shit among art historians.

Oh this is nice, but the center seems really cluttered, the way they paint the people is fantastic however

I've not viewed this, making a judgement from a tiny computer image is impossible. I like it very much still, mystical and whimsical. I'm sorry I missed her exhibition as I do most things.
>>3116817
From here it's not a good painting, the pose is awkward, the clothes drab, the features plain. The backdrop smothers it in an ugly tone. I'm still not a better painter than Gluck yet, and then the usual complaints on my part for my lack of anything better.
Compare and contrast Gerald Brockhurst on show now in Edinburgh. Very sexy, it used to be my pin-up.

i like this one. got a lOT Of room for improvement but the dark water is nice.
>>3115156
would be nicer if there was some more surrealism to it. lacks viewer participation (though most of the pieces here do) on the better side of Eh
>>3115161
not even an eh
>>3115342
not even an eh. seems like she's shooting for "tRY to read into it and understand my complex, unique mind" but it's a facade. there is nothing to read into other than the fact that she's trying to come off as an interesting and complex person.
>>3116903
technically impressive. sorta creepy IMO. again, not a lot of viewer participation in here.
>>3117499
i realize my definition of viewer participation might be different or whatever to most people's. i'll try to explain what i mean real quick.
viewer participation is how much the viewer/consumer has to chew on while they check out the art. realism (as in perfect, photolike realism) has the least amount of viewer participation. surrealism has quite a bit more, as you're trying to figure out what's going on. sci fi art often has quite a bit of it as you look at it and try to understand what the sci fi parts and pieces do. i hope that conveys what i mean properly when i say viewer participation.
>>3117503
You cannot tell from the computer image, if you see the painting itself then the brushstrokes are visible as the light hits the canvas and you walk around it.
You don't have much empathy for a single person's stare.
