Does anyone else draw stickman battles?
>simple to draw
>extremely fun
>no experience required (literally just lines)
I also find it very therapeutic, the more you do the more in depth it gets, leading to a epic battle at the end.
Was curious to see other anons battles? if this is actually a thing, can't understand why its wouldn't be.

How do I learn to be as creative as you?
>>3114277
honestly not that much original thought desu, alot of it is based of other things just with a bit of a spin.
I do recommend it, the more you draw the more in depth you get, and the more the ideas will flow.
another one to keep the thread alive hopefully
>>3114274
i used to fill full sketch books with like nothing but stick battles, and i would make stories to go along with them and everything :)
>>3114274
I did this up to the sixth or seventh grade, then stopped. Technically I do it still, but with full figures in a comic book sequences.
>>3114274
still have some of them from when I was a kid. I don't know where I put them tho
>>3114274
Used to do that a lot.
My stickmen had small round bodies for some reason though, guess I liked them more.
I used to do that too, but with worms, probably inspired by the game
>>3114274
I did, then one day this emaciated looking teacher was going through my notebook while we were doing a project, then told the school counselor I was depicting these scenes because it's what I wanted to do to the school. Now I just draw naked girls, because Its what I want them to look like around me.
>>3114274
I did that as a kid.
Back then I actually had fun drawing.
>>3114274
Not gonna lie, this is awesome to see.
>>3114286
What a pleb, you need at least 100 figures in your drawing for it to be of any worth.
Oh wow this brings back memories, I did this up through 7th grade or so. My stick men were pretty distinctive though, they all had large backpacks, helmets and I drew spent shells flying out of the guns instead of dots for bullets.
I also made extremely detailed muzzle flashes, that were sometimes as large as the stick men themselves. It was all a hell of a thing, and every picture was an absolute holocaust.
>>3114274
I remember kids in 6th grade doing that. I used to draw mecha though
>>3115206
At least this many.
In retrospect yellow for the droids sucks for taking a pic of it, butthats nit what i had in mind.
>>3115211
What in the actual fuck is going on in this picture, I cannot identify anything
>>3115211
fuck wrong pic, mom.
>>3115217
all they are doing is walkin, problem is that they are all yellow. You know the star wars droids ?
I think something like this but animated would be extremely awesome to make/view.
anybody did this with spaceships?
>>3115225
>all dat turret spam
oh yeah man. I mostly just did fighter planes though, I was obsessed with those, especially after Independence Day came out.
>>3115217
>that force field to the left
Pure nostalgia. I remember putting the president/king into layers upon layers of walls; complete with mounted turrets and a mini boss at each gate. I'd even add a dialogue for each mini boss when the opposing army reaches the him. And don't forget about the king's escape pod that leads to the bigger and badder castle at the next page.
>>3115230
The most fun were the really small fighter and the rockets with their trails.
I used to make scenarios from rts games but with plasticine. Good times!
>>3114274
Thank you for reminding me that I too, did this as a kid.
Mine always was about some justiceleague rip-offs and they had a pet tornado.
Good times. Thank you, anon.

Amidst all the poisonous threads of dipsters telling people X and Y and Z is not art, there's this faggot having fun.
All those threads beginning with pictures of all kinds of famous painters. Angry chimps wasting their life arguing on the internet. That these famous painters were all hacks. And at the end of the day, the chimps go back to their cage. The shitstorm has passed and the shit is being cleaned up when it reaches the boundaries of 4chan's 10 page retention system. Nothing of value produced. And the most important thing: nobody had a fun and happy time.
But here we have someone who actually enjoys drawing. Having fucking fun. Letting your creativity vent instead of focusing solely on the facts:
>it has to be art
>this is not art
Fuck these people constantly judging that this or that is not art. That's a very narrow definition.
Everything humans create is art.
It's ARTificially created!
Having fun makes learning more pleasant. Don't be that judgemental.
Have fun and play around!
Godspeed you OP!
Paleo art might be the next fad.
>>3116958
This so much.
>>3116958
cringe
this shit should stay in 2009 era newgrounds
>>3114274
You should add circles/ovals for rib cages and pelvises, for knee and elbow joints too if you want to get a little fancy. Stan Lee's Draw Comics the Marvel Way encourages drawing stick figures like this, the goal being to draw a simple stick figure in any pose imaginable and convey action and movement without resorting to speedlines.
Your stick battles are more productive than you think. Artists who focus too much on proportions and anatomy early in the game might have trouble with poses looking stiff later down the line.
action
Action!
ACTION!!!

And here we are again...
When i was in middle school i thought i was the only autismo who did this in class.
I once even nearly got a letter to my parents because i drew a nazi-zombie army (in germany drawing the swastika is strictly verboten) way before dead snow even came out
First time I've ever bookmarked a thread here.
>>3117050
So why did you draw a nazi-zombie army, anon?
Go back to dead, Zhu.
>>3116958
it is art tho. it's just not that developed visually and done by someone not taking it that seriously. plenty of historical artists have made this exact type of art, but with more elaborate details and trickery. it's def more common in non-western art tho.
>>3117241
I didnt think i was being watched by normalshits who then snitched on me.
We do gesture battles bro
I draw stick figures with box heads. When I was a kid, my stick figure drawings were quite flat, as children's drawings tend to be. After learning about perspective and forms (which I did have a rudimentary understanding of as a child, for example, I knew how to draw wrapping lines around an object to make it look more 3D), I can recreate those drawings, but make them look more professional by using boxhead stickfigures, which are more "solid" and easily put in perspective.
>>3114422
Did the same with bunnies, inspired by The Book of Bunny Suicides
>>3116958
>But here we have someone who actually enjoys drawing. Having fucking fun
>implying OP isn't impersonating
>>3116958
Well said pardner
>>3116974
shit it feels like im back in grade school with this thread
Fun thread.
Bumping the comfy thread. :)
