Not all of here whine about getting good. Lots of people here enjoy drawing, which is generally why all you see is whining - the people who don't whine are actually drawing instead of complaining on 4chan.

I mostly come here for the book scans, and sometimes I hang around /beg/ to give crits. Only come once a week or so.

That being said, DA is a cesspool of little kids and autistic adults picking on eachother. Some of that shit gets really intense. So I'd still have to say loomis mushroom heads win.

Thing is, there are people who can have fun drawing on here.

The other thing is that fundamentals are kind of important if you want to make anything remotely passable.

I have more fun stressing myself out a little bit. It's grating at first, but when I take time to cool down I realize I've gotten better than I was before and my drawings benefit from it. Stagnation stops being fun to me after awhile when I want to draw things better that I usually suck at drawing.

OP, no one said that if you're worrying about fundamentals then you're not enjoying yourself.

You can strive to improve on fundamentals AND enjoy drawing. Whether it's both at the same time or not is up to you.
