I need to stock up on charcoal pencils/charcoal in general, is there a certain brand of pencils I should look into getting? I need to get razors as well for sharpening.

The Pierre Noir (B or 2B) by Conte are popular. It's easy to control and doesn't smudge much. it's what all those guys at Watts Atelier and a lot of the California life drawing in general uses.
