pressure sensitivity works for me using that tool. are you grinding your stylus into the tablet or something? also i can change to angles that arent horizontal and vertical.

an example of changing the direction of the tool. you can do this with the thing that looks like a arrow next to a box in the tools.

oh and you can set up 2 different rulers and use them at the same time by selecting which ruler you are using with the box arrrow use thing and then on the ruler some where there is a tiny diamond shape that selects which ruler you use.

np but there is also a way to unsnap from the rulers up near the top of the screen it looks like a pen going over an arch, this unsnaps from the rulers.

Use shift then. Shift click for every straight line. Xould go in any direction

As I said that's essentially a line tool and not a ruler. There's no pressure sensitivity when making lines with shift.

make vector lines then adjust thickness afterwards?

The main thing I would use it for is to draw rectangles for thumbnail sketches and such so it needs to be quick and spontaneous. Yeah, I can draw straight (ish) lines freehand but I just like the ruler pencil line look like pic related. It's a breeze in Photoshop but surprisingly complicated in CSP. It might sound like a really minor thing but I actually use it all the time in Photoshop.
