Asians learn primarily from studying other artists, so they internalize shapes and forms indirectly, often without intending that. Westerners on the other hand start from scratch and build up, tackling things like anatomy which Asians learn second hand. Of course it's way faster to learn to draw a stylized body by studying other stylized bodies than by going through anatomy and figuring out how to stylize using a real body as reference, even if it means sacrificing some technical accuracy that autists on /ic/ will pinpoint
