modern fashion art has a lot of those sensibilities but you'll find that sort of thing all over.

Digital would probably be best for that sort of thing, it has the flexibility and immediacy to go through various color/patterns/compositions, etc. but honestly its irreverent, just use whatever you enjoy. Using a medium you enjoy will pay its own dividends in how much effort you put into.
