this is extra cash the guy makes on top of what he already got paid for drawing the comic in the first place. his fans are happy to buy a page for $200 atleast. he has a few going up to $2,500 (hasn't sold yet)
$300 is relatively average for original comic art by someone still living and with as generous an output as Ottley.
Being able to sell original art is a nice plus of drawing comics traditionally, especially if you're on lower page rates like I am ($100 per page).

I wonder about the long trail... a page is worth 200 but you only sell it once, whereas a small tutorial with a .psd of your art may sell for 5 or 10 but how many is a top 10 of DA able to sell every month?
