Wacom intuos pro larges are going for the same as or less than mediums second hand on ebay where i am. are they objectively better? any reason not to get one if i have the space?

scam?

It's about what size you're comfortable with. You're paying for the WACOM inscription after all, not for the technology.

But that's how it is. Also a lot of people prefer the medium, so resellers are shit out of luck if they try to get a quick buck out of it.

so its not objectively better? what are the factors involved?

space is a factor

not really in my experience, they have them at uni, i have a medium at home, and i used to have a small. medium is certainly better than small, but i can't really say i notice the difference between medium and large, perhaps if you have a huge screen or you want to like keep a bunch of menus and stuff on screen but still have a big area to draw or sculpt it'd be better idk.

On a side note, is it worth buying intuos pro or huion 1080+? Or is it better to wait and raise money for cintiq while getting good in traditionals?

I've got an extra large intuos pro, and years ago decided to use only a small mapped area.
i guess large could be nicer for detailed linework, but for painting medium is much better.
