I was listening to One Fantastic Week podcast the other day and there was something that resonated with me. Pete Mohrbacher said that one of the reasons he invested into his own IP (angelarium) is because he is generally a bad employee and him managing his own stuff (which is ironically harder) makes him a lot more successful.
Anyway, I was thinking about being a bad employee myself and I too would like to create my own IP or something that belongs to me. I am a beginner but it's not stupid to think about my goals now, right? So how do I approach drawing in a way that I can get patreon bucks or just live off selling my prints? I really, really don't want to work for anyone (I mean I can when starting out but that's it). Are there any other methods of self sustain?
Hard mode: no porn or pandering to really unique niches.
