Why does everything have to be a competition?
In my tiny group of friends (5 people) there was me and another artist friend. We liked seeing each other's art and we complimented and gave advice

We grew apart though, kind of regret it. I miss having an artist friend

There will always be someone better than you, quit comparing yourself to them to beat yourself down. Then see what you can learn from them and practice it.

No, I don't place my entire self worth on how much I impress my peers with my drawings.

If someone being better than you demoralizes you so much just quit, someone will always be better than you.
