Depends really on what niche you're marketting to and how well you can get the correct people to notice rather than actual artistic skill.

3-5 to make minimal wage
5+ to make decent money

take into account you have to have good social and promotion skills and you have to put out a lot of art. all this to build a fanbase that will support you. skill alone isn't enough if nobody sees your art and/or people don't like you and your art.

If you've got the sheer drive like Boogie, you can get to commission tier within 3 years. But that's 3 years of intensive hours of tough technical training and repetition to understand fundamentals.

If you're female, you'll have a much easier time building up a fanbase and clientele. If you're a dude, pretend you're a girl and make sure no one ever connects the dots with your actual social media.
