Have you ever studied drawings from another artist on /ic/? I like some specific quirks some people on here do.

such as?

I like it when they leave unfinished work as it shows their structural process a bit and loose thinking. Aside from their constructive methods and coloring, it's what they tend focus on the most and then I try to go back in time to stitch together why they're doing what they're doing.

WIPs have always interested me a lot as well. There should almost be a general dedicated to that, in order to foster completeness in other threads.

Would be nice, but then you'd have fags like in the pic.

oh there used to be these threads

I've first seen people construct figures with lines circling over the form here and it helped me realize how to move away from the outline drawing, does that count?
Of course if I hadn't been a massive faggot and actualy read some Loomis/watched V-man, I'd learn that sooner, oh well.

Traditional artists might be less anal about it

I've tried (and failed) to emulate tableguy a couple times.

Yes.
It's okay to do as long as who your studying from is actually good and you mix it with studying from life and drawing from imagination.
