Creativity and originality are a lot more difficult to develop and much slower to pay off than porn art. You also need decent social skills in order to really hit it off with collectors/clients and for networking. That's why drawing furry and anime porn appeals to people on here since there's no need to even leave the computer in making this stuff. Even a shut-in, socially awkward autist can make some decent cash provided he's good enough at drawing.

Anime / furry smut has way lower standards to make money off of then original ideas like comics or just straight illustrations.
You can make a lot of money off of smut if you're bad but at least consistent in putting out content or willing to do degenerate shit for commissions.
Eventually tho, artists should try to expanding in some way or another. Incase went from just porn to doing porn comics, ModeSeven is more frequently putting out animations and has been doing music for awhile, and Plague of gripes went from porn to being an animator who never puts out any content aside from sped up process painting which give starting artists awful advice put out once in a blue moon that should take someone an afternoon to do while he makes almost 3k on patreon.

I don't see how me saying smut has no standards equals to me liking the artist I posted as example of how low those standards are or how that means I like animals.

At first i was considering making money of porn and drawing weird furry fetishes, but I've decided to work on putting out my own characters and stories instead. I used to like a lot of weird stuff and hung out in streams with lots of artists who drew fetish material for a living. But I want to draw and create stuff that everyone can enjoy. Fetishes can't be shared with everyone.
