I got a bit of a problem guys.
I often draw self portraits and at some point i just get 'lost' in the drawing.
I try to draw my eye for example and i just cant assess if what i drew is like what is in the mirror. Its like the comparsion mechanism doesnt work and i just randomly draw a line hoping it makes sense withouth knowing how it is supposed to be. The same goes for other details.
But then after i made 3 more drawings i suddenly look at my old drawings and wonder why the fuck i didnt see obvious errors. Its like the spel is broken and i see the drawings in a different way.
But why cant i see and correct my drawings like that rightaway?Its like my idea of what my drawing looks like is completely flawed when im busy drawing it.
Do i need more distance (mirroring my drawing doesnt work)?Or maybe i shouldnt draw in the same space that i live in?
