Unless you purposely draw with traditional techniques a lot of the skills don't transfer particularly well. My digital workflow can't be replicated traditionally. The knowledge based shit carries over but there's a lot of technique that doesn't.

Just have a sheet of newsprint taped to the table under your drawing paper, when im out of newsprint i just mark the vanishing point on a sticky note and put it on the desk

You need to setup a proper table and area if you plan on doing traditional. This way you can have a tac and string to do far off perspective points.

Honestly, this is the only benefit digital offers. You don't need the space and supplies to create. It's all in a nice, comfy little package.

Instead of drawing lines and vanishing points try putting your drawing on a cork board, put a thumbtack where your vanishing point is and tie a piece of thread around it, than drag the thread to be your guidelines.
