You know in manga they sometimes have these swirly backgrounds that denote anger, frustration or annoyance? Anybody have resources for that or specific pages?
Trying to draw a guy, hunched over, smoking and looking annoyed at the viewer.

I think I may have a very good advice for you.
Your lines are a fucking mess, but in these particular drawings you have a very good graphic sort of shape design going on, so if it's not 100% deliberate, I suggest you focus on that aspect of your work and maybe make it a base for your personal style.
Study
>deel, sladkiy-pirozhok, snatti89, inputwo (more anime)
>Nesskain, Mikhail Rakhmatullin (more realism)
and if some of their work or technique resonates with you, see if you can implement it into your style.
I also wouldn't mind seeing your blog, if I may.

This is one of my older (and pretty much abandoned) works. Was trying to go FZDSCHOOL but didn't really work out.
Don't really have a blog.

As I said, nice shapes, messy linework.
Make sure your painting/rendering skills don't fall too much behind your drawing skills, once you start producing more finished work, set up a blog. Building a following can take a while, so you'd better start early.
