Is it possible to be hired as a professional artist with a non online sketchbook portfolio? I dont like marketing myself, and just want to be told what to draw.

Not many people enjoy marketing themselves, and the amount of inconvenience you'll put yourself and your clients through will far outweigh the actual effort put into just putting some shit online and sending it around.
Marketing yourself isn't hard, just have an online portfolio, send it around to AD's who you think could use your work and if they need something from you, voila. They'll contact you and tell you what to draw.

If you want to be a professional artist, you have to understand that you are a business.
Half of what makes a successful artist is just self promotion, you can be an awful artist but if you know how to market yourself you can make more money then some socially inept loser who can draw better then you.
