so when i draw i view the paper from quite a steep angle. such that any objective clear view of the paper results in everything looking elongated. is this a significantly bad thing? will it result in problems?
(excuse the mouse drawing, im not a digital guy)

It can be a problem if you're not careful.
I'd recommend getting an angled drawing board or something.
It will also be more comfortable for your wrist and neck.
It is a bad thing. It's going to fuck up your proportion and perspective.
Get an angled drawing board or drafting table (I recommend a portable board you can put on a flat table). They're used for a reason.
It depends. If you were drawing your average drawings, it would be bad, and an angled board would help.
However, you can utilize your elongated technique and create 3D drawings, which require you to be on an angle (Like in the Pic)
