There are so many threads right now about giving up. How about we have an inspiration thread where we post some artist interviews/documentaries to breathe some hope into /ic/?
I'll start with the Attack on Titan creator. He was rejected multiple times because of his bad art until someone took a chance on him.

confession: I've always liked the manga art for attack on titan over the objectively better anime. People look at me like Im crazy when I say that and I get that but the style he has strikes me really hard and I don't get the same vibe off the anime.
>>2998254
his art has always been crap but isayama does have a good feel for how to make manga.
>>2998254
Depend, the titans is the only things that work with his artstyle so it's okay anyway.
>>2997723
Shūzō Oshimi. Had just read flowers of evil and inside mari. Pretty shocked to see how much worse devil ecstasy is in every regard.
>>2998272
I never cared for the titans. It comes down to a matter of feelings but the way he draws people has always felt much more human and natural than most mangas even when it's shit. It's okay if thats crazy but compare them side by side
I printed this image and placed in a place that I always have to look at.
What inspires me the most is seeing that even the greatests of the greats are still human.
Even Kim Jung Gi has to make underdrawings sometimes.

We need to remember all the small wins and supportive comments to remain creative.
So I just save all the (You)'s and positive comments that I received and keep them in a folder.
Sure it's narcissistic, but it's better to be narcissistic than suffering artist's block and destroying your own career because of your insecurities.

Sweet. I remember most comments on my shit because I don't post very often. Maybe I should try saving some like you do

Summoning cow anon.
If you think you're hitting a wall in terms of getting good, just wait until you hit a wall in terms of making actually making a living.

art still kinda looks shit. if I wanted to read a realistically drawn manga, I'd read Vagabond or Berserk. Get this trash outta here
Why is ic so autistic and reliant on motivation?
Its really simple, if you dont want to draw, dont fucking draw, if you want to draw, well then fucking draw.
All of this obsession with making it will doom most of you, if youre creating art without enjoying it to begin with you wont get very far.
>>2999981
t. someone who has never stepped out of his comfort zone.
>>2999983
nice dude, you really got me gud
thing is right, i step out of my comfort zone every day, only difference between me you guys is that i expect failure and am not afraid of failing.
wanna know why? well of course its obvious im gonna fail at something im new at, and with more time and more failures i will become better.
the greats never backed down or became demoralized after a failure. they looked at their failure and said huh, what can we do about this.
the ones who make it are the ones who push further when they fail, not the ones who fail and then give up cuz they get sad.
>>2999989
you sound like a faggot who's never accomplished anything
>>2999989
>the greats never backed down or became demoralized after a failure. they looked at their failure and said huh, what can we do about this.
That's not even human. I don't think you ever hang out with other successful artists. You would see that even they feel like crap after failing.
>>2999993
oh so have you achieved anything yet?
im a college drop out who lives with his pop, works part time and have studied art for almost 2 years.
and why care about what youve accomplished or not?
only thing that matters is that you enjoy yourself. and thats what drawing is to me, something enjoyable that eventually might become the way i earn my living.

You made me reverse search your comments just so I could find the source of your picture. Impressing anons on /v/ is pretty easy, but whatever works for you.

He practically repainted the whole thing.
>>2998684
5 hours on this?
gero posted it on his twitter, wish he made more effort into it, but good for him for going from porn to having a seinen manga with anime and live action adaptations
he used to say he wants to get back to porn after ajin, wonder if it's still the case, his writing also got better

You are the new based god anon, but this guy isn't even that good. Bullshitting anime girls with fucking ridiculous proportions isn't that once you understand basic fundamentals. And these guys act like he's a god because he didn't draw a loomis stick figure first...which is retarded because you can still see that he's still essentially just drawing mannequins but with organic anatomical shapes instead of geometric ones. What a disappointment. /v/ is confirmed trash once again
does anyone have that really old ic comic about improving and there are several branching paths where you could possibly turn into a gay vampire and die?
>>2998684
There is literally nothing there that hasn't been "practically repainted"
