Really loving this, especially the palette and geometric shapes. But what's with the arm and hand on the left-side? They look extremely small, and the way the arm is 'disappearing' makes it look like the pole is resting on her forearm, not vice versa.

Sorry for the crit, but it's really detracting from a really great page.

The main problem is that your waifu resembles more the shape of a kid rather than an adult. their proportions are different + details like fat (they look more meaty and have bigger extremities).

This is why you dont only study animu bruh.

Woman are 2 heads lenght in shoulders, not 3 like men.
nipples/breast center should be around the second head (from top to bottom).

her forehead is too big and those cheeks make her look fattier.

Also shoulders usually arent bigger than the muscles around the neck.

Does anyone know of a good guide or have any tips as to how to properly construct an anime eye in 3d space?

Depending on your interpretation of the eye, the rules have to be bent to trick your brain into reading the form correctly. The less landmarks your interpretation has, the harder it can be to convince the brain-- applying realistic proportions to the simplified eye can lead to things like the further eye looking too small or pupils appear misplaced.

Jane Mere very recently did a write up on eyes a couple weeks ago. I uploaded it here. Maybe this will help you guys. The most important thing to remember is that tricking the brain is more important than 1:1 realistic, 3d representations. In the end, it's about what looks good.

The design on the right is unnapealing
f8 me

Also the pic on the right has some nice rendering and color pallet to compensate. If you are going for the "its supposed to be this way, it was like this in the original" then why not apply some noice color theory and rendering.

The official art from other games resemble more to the one in the left and human being than AYY LMAOs

Wait so you're saying the one on the right in pic above is an Ayy lmao? So you focus more on rendering and coloring rather than also human forms?
>>
>>2929975

even if the person applied further detail to it you and others would complain just not looking the way you want it to be than how it originally was meant to look like instead of looking samey with no spice. (style or in other words signature of the artist)

>The official art from other games resemble more to the one in the left and human being than AYY LMAOs

don't be silly, concept/offical art and characters designed in the game have certain parts of their proportions "pushed/stylized" further than what an ordinary human would look like. I mean for one thing their hands & feet are really big.
>>
>>2929984
No, I focus in human form. Thats why I'm complaining that if one of those dolls for little little children had sex with a martian.

the rendering is worse, the anatomy is worse, the coloring, the shading, etc.

A drawing like that, half-assed, impressive seeing how you can whip out something like that then and have its appeal. Yea there can be improvement or you can go further with it or adjust certain things like her right shoulder a bit, but that can be said with a lot of drawings, its nice as is without ruining it.
It's good, has appeal and it's own twist with how some artists portray Cammy, maybe you're mistaken and just being nit-picky with how it's drawn a certain way.

Everyone views things differently and having different perspectives and opinions on whats considered good or bad.

See how stupid it is?

Everyone can appreciate it in a different way and add different twists but I want you to tell me if there is no room for improvement there?.

even if its "muh style" I want to ask if thats the peak of performance of that artist.

I yes, then what a shame.

If not, then I just gave the feedback I thought necessary to make it more appealing. You can say it can stay like that and doesn't need to change, but I think is pretty unappealing mane. and while you may be right on that some people see it appealing, you should also take in count the amount that wont. And honestly if the first thing that came to my mind was "man, this is not good looking", then why wouldn't many think the same?.

Totally up to you mane.

>But I'm not that artist

then I just wasted my breath fighting to give feedback to the wrong person.

fug.

And how do you practice? Should I just try to copy photos until I git gud? Or should I do quick gesture drawings? And some books recommend blind contour drawing. It will take me months of trial and error to figure this out on my own.

It would really help if your advice was more specific and detailed than "read books and practice more".

I see nothing wrong with the palette. It depends on how you're going to render. If you're painting you can pretty easily create exciting visuals by letting your colors bleed into each other all over the canvas. Considering how saturated a lot of your colors are, you should have no problem mixing on canvas to get interesting colors.

Thank you very much!

Like the other anon(s) said, it pretty much is about mileage through practice. I don't draw men as often, so consequently, my masculine figures are much stiffer and mechanically put together. Same goes for nearly every other subject matter I don't normally draw.

But additionally, observation has really helped me out. Just looking for rhythms in bodies of people in real life, in photos, in drawings you enjoy, etc. Drawing isn't necessary, but it helps cement them in your visual library™.

Sorry if these don't help. I don't really have a workflow or enough experience to look back and identify what specifically helps me. But just keep drawing and you'll find things coming more naturally to you or a process that helps you out!

Post the old one.
>>
>>2931535
>i 'll assume you meant the canines
maybe because the alternative is to not emphasize any teeth, and that leaves you with a white band , and the other is emphasizing what ?

the incisors ? we usually notice the incisors when there is a gap between them so if you draw each incisive the viewer will subconsciously correlate that with gapes between them , even if you draw them side by side . The morals / premolars ? we usually notice them when the front teeth are missing , again , not appealing because of that connotation

the canines are the single kind of teeth which stays isolated from itself , so maybe that 's why emphasizing them is sexy, it shows healthiness

You don't understand the planes of the face well. Pic related, it's a really handy look at how the planes of the face are arranged and gives you an idea of where light and shadow will fall. As you can see, the side planes are more in shadow when the front planes are in light, but you've only put the very edge of the side plane in shadow. Likewise, the plane of the side of the nose flares out more and tends to leave a softer shadow.

The chin looks like it's too far forward and no quite aligned with the center of the face. The mouth might also be too far over/low down. You could probably raise the bottom of the nose a bit and bring the mouth up a little higher. Or, at least see if it looks better.

Necks do not work that way. They are not flat cylinders.

The hair is really quite bad. You're attempting to shade the hair, but without establishing a solid light source, and the forms end up not being well defined.

Good luck and carry on, Anon.

one thing that might be helpful when rendering the hair is to consider where it's coming from.
Hair generally grows from the top of the head, the back, and the sides.
This sounds obvious, but think about how gravity would affect it, and how the hair would naturally flow if it's growing from those areas.

>>
>>2933380
Don't ever "shade" with the same exact color and value as the background, your character looks translucent. Use a similar color as the subject and the background and a darker value for the shading. The placement of the shading looks good though.

Your line work is too scratchy. Erase the extra lines and make the line work more bold with single lines. You want confident looking line work, not something that looks like you're guessing with every stroke.

I have no idea what the hell is going on with the hand.. is it a peace sign? Looks like she just ripped her hand free from a blender and is still in shock.

Does she have two sets of ears? Also what's up with her other eye.. is that an eye patch?? Is she mutating into a bug?

Overall I like this style, has potential. Looking forward to the fully rendered version.

I did some more studies of figures in motion and thought why not just make them into angles

I don't totally agree with all that, but I can understand it and will keep it in mind. Thank you. Question though, if it's alright. How much of it do you think is based on the rendering given pic related?
>>2933489
Thanks, we can have shit taste together anon. Despite the faults, I still like it too. That's probably why I wasn't able to see the issues myself. I'm finding it a bit odd though that people who usually like my artstyle aren't liking this one much.

I'm not familiar with your other drawings. Also sorry for how rude my crit sounded. You have a good sense of shapes going on but it's marred by some major issues.

I think most of my issues are with the fundamental sketch. You exacerbated the strange armpit area with the rendering in the first post, but it's still 'wrong' looking in your sketch. Here's a quick redline. I added some more volume to your sketch, because I feel like erotic images are best when volume is emphasized. Even Doxy, who is super stylized, has immense volume and gravity implied in his art.

Also, there's a tangent going on with the right-hand breast and the ribs, and the tilt of the breasts do not follow the tilt of the shoulders.

Anyway, I can understand if you disagree with my redline. A lot of this is subjective because it's how I would execute it, and I'm not sure how much is intentional abstraction in your drawing.

You're a good meme. I have seen your work for a good while now. You're improving aswell. Congratulations. Although I would really like to see you get better with coloring. The way you paint light and shadows to me seems a bit sloppy. Focus on how lights saturate and bounce light ect. Understand form better. Sorry mate. I'm stoned so my words fall short but my intentions are pure. I want you to nail these paintings. I get satisfaction from looking at em. These huge women crushing buildings feel like a statement to the status quo. The system and the narcissistical money culture we have atm. Keep on working :)

Übermensch Hogarth will taught you a lesson or two on how to draw those clothes (those sleeves are pretty crap, also thats not how those boots should look like).

Second, if you still struggle at drawing from imagination, you should use a reference.

Have you looked at Beach Queen figures? There's bound to be a similar pose and looking at anime figures might help with understanding how an anime face works in 3d.

The main problem is clearly the eyes on the picture which you did mention, then you went on to lazily move the jaw 1 millimeter to the left. Like come on dude how long did that take you? 20 seconds? If your going to offer a critique do it properly.
