Something's broken, what do I do?

>The original developer of the site has taken a leave for quite a while, originally due to medical reasons. Progress on the site is almost non-existant at this point. You can try contacting him at @LavaFlake or emailing him at [email protected].

What do we draw?

>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.

What's a low effort warning?

>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.

>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.

What happens if I'm eliminated?

>Your streak will go back to 0 and you will have to start again. No other penalties.

How can there be a new Last Artist Standing challenge every week?

>There is no week system anymore, instead new users are given "streaks" based on the number of consecutive days you can submit without getting eliminated. (token losses do not reset your streak)

Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?

>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.

the comic is way too long for an OP and the furry challenge hasn't finished yet until tomorrow so the thread would have been buried by then so I would compile it for the next OP.

Anyway I notice lassies have been doing Sargent's studies so I got some ideas:

1- Instead of intensive shitposting we should have an artist discussion, for example someone suggest Sargent and then everyone discuss their favorite pieces of him, his techniques, what do you like about his art,... just so the thread doesn't seem so dead.

2- We should have a Master Studies challenge where everyone picks a master to study. To prevent mindless copying, perhaps require lassies to write something that they learnt from doing the studies, they could do some research to get a better grasp of the master they study from.

If Dataizm hasn't submitted and completed his part on the comic, LAS would have been destroyed by Lava. But he did and ended the challenge as a whole with a happy ending, marking the moment where all lassies finish a collab together in a while, hence saving LAS from the alternate ending.

About 3 on average. I'm trying to bump it up to 4, but it's hard during the work week.

4-5. Usually 3-4 hours of working on my comic and 1.5 hours drawing commissions. I'm trying to make it a consistent 4 hours of comics a day and add half an hour of studies, but it's not going easy.

1- how about a sketchbook challenge lassies? Fill 30 pages of sketchbook at the end of the month.

2- Fuck you Lava challenge. Basically the opposite of Get well challenge where you draw your lemur abuse fantasy.

Hampton is about form so if you realy suck at it yet it might be overwhelming. But if that's the case, studying anatomy is also a bit too early.
If you can break down a body into simple shapes (like that wooden mannequin) and draw them in space, you are ready to study basic anatomy.

Naf needs to realize that he doesn't get it right on the first attempt and shouldn't try to, learn how to sketch out rough ideas, dont always go to the final outline just because you could. Art directors want to see dozens of variations of the same concept.

Rorg, these landscapes show your progress. In the 1st, the background middle tree messes with the otherwise decent depth. Desaturate it a little more, play around with its positioning/shape because it disrupts the composition by being so large and in the middle.

Echo theres something wrong with the titties. I think its that the viewers left titty appears to be popping out towards the viewer too much, along with the relatively stiff contrast of the upper body to the looser, more dynamic lower body.

Sorceress this is some some weird shit. Its fun and feels oddly nostalgic. Work on your perspective for larger pieces like this, the floor lines are not just going to be a set of parallel lines, along with all the figures being the same size despite their different distances from the viewer.

Shameboxx, other than the hairy lines, the actual drawing is nice and reminds me a little bit of Matt Kohr. The rendering/shading makes little sense however and does not follow the implied shape of the vase.
