You're criticizing a cartoon design when we've had varying degrees of breaking the character design and the character for the sake of fun?

At least criticize your pic correctly. Especially since the limbs mirror each other. The only thing that gives that pose any sort of definition of being somewhat three dimensional is an indication of the left palm, the head is 3/4, the tail is angled some and the waist line is at a slight angle.

Outside of that it would be a cardboard cut-out.

Although to be fair Gumball as a show is trying to be meta on some level about animation. Especially with the mix of mediums at play.

because most westaboos people praise are japanese illustration/animation professionals (or at least really competent draftsmen) who enjoy western media and do fanart of such while most weeaboos people make fun of are novices and 12 year old kids without much knowledge of how to draw but still want to express their enjoyment of japanese media.

I like the left character more though, at least she looks like someone distinguishable. Female jap characters all look generic to me imo.
