what's the best dpi, file format, and color setting to scan paper drawings? for the purposes of rendering in photoshop afterward. i'm using letter-size paper at largest.
i happen to have an old scanner that goes up to 300 dpi, has tiff jpeg png bitmap formats, and color/greyscale/b&w options.
i'm guessing 300 dpi, tiff/png, b&w would be optimal? is this quality enough to prepare, say, a portfolio? (after rendering and such of course)
That depends on the scanner and the intended viewing size, genius.
