I work exclusively in the second pose
My spine is in agony but my butt's looking great
>>
>>2910189
But you can use the chair's arm rest to use as a pivot point to turn your arms.

Otherwise they are just hanging around.
>>
>>2910196
I'm not a tabletwhore so this doesn't really apply to me. I'm constantly moving my arms between the page on my drawing board, utensils and the laptop
>>
>>2910098
they're ok as long as you realize you have to be moving too otherwise there are as bad as sitting ones.

>>
The ideal is to switch every 1-3 hours
Or per session

Sitting sucks period, but standing can be just as deadly. Invest in some compression socks to keep blood from pooling, varicose veins, and blood clotting.
>>
>>2910098
>tfw you have a condition that makes you pass out if you stand for longer than like 20 mins

walking doesn't count tho

Awful image. Screen should be at eye level.

Enjoy your shit cervical forward-headed posture

Just have a treadmill in front of the desk

I have a standing desk at work, but I sit in my chair and raise my arms up to my shoulders to type and shit. I like to rest my chin on the desk while I work.
>>
>>2910598
Not being a fat pos piece fixed that for me

My brother does this. He doesn't draw, but when he's at home, he always uses a standing desk when he's on the internet or watching TV.

I move around often, AND go for at least 45mins of a walk everyday.

Most standing desks don't go high enough for a laptop to be eye-level

>>2910558
Yeah I was exagerrating, I can only hack standing for a couple of hours before sitting again
>>
>>2910098
That desk is completely inadequate for anything but very rare and short time use. If you insist on using a laptop at a desk then you need to have another keypad and that screen has to be way higher or you're going to get serious neck problems.

Hey guys, I got a question -
how do you grip your stylus? Vertically? Like a pencil? In a claw?

I'm used to draw with charcoal pencils and from the shoulder, but for stylus it seems inefficient, as it has no tilt sensitivity and my hand gets cramps really quickly.
help pls

You need a thick grip or use some foam to make one. It'll save your hands.

Forget about the side buttons or you won't have a nice grip. Just use your keyboard for tools.

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into it.
So do you hold your stylus vertically like a fineliner, or tilted like a pencil?
Pic related seems what could ease up the tension in your palm, but I can't tell because every grip takes a while to get used to.

Standing desks are a meme. Standing for a prolongued period of time in the same position is actually even worse than sitting because you are more likely to take up a bad posture due to your hip flexors and neck muscles getting tired, not to mention the risk of getting varicose veins.

If you want to do something for your health that actually works, take frequent walking, stretching and exercising breaks and do a proper workout 3-4 times a week.
>>
>>2911142
It's not about taking a break from the posture, but from sitting period.

Since setting up a break program my lower back pain problem has been a thing of the past.
>>
>>2911375
in that case let me rephrase that
>he sits in such a way, he can't stay from morning to night at his working place
>>
>>2910098
>ice cream
>low fat ice cream

exercise
no standing will replace that, you're still looking forward to some serious issues with your health
>>
>>2911142
You die faster from standing in the same position 8 hours a day than from sitting in the same position 8 hours a day.
>>
I love this because every hour digitalfags are arguing about such insignificant shit they are actively seeking ways to not draw.

t. going back to drawing now
>>
>>2913733
in 10 years you will have to take frequent breaks from drawings because of bad posture while we will pull 8h without a sweat because we took a few hours of our time once and wondered about correct posture
