What's the point of learning 2D when gooks can already make 3D anime porn that looks better than 2D.
>>2905057
what's the point of breathing when you can take a knife to the neck, op?
>>2905057
Why would I give a fuck about 3D anime porn?
Shitty 3d porn is better than shitty 2d porn but top tier 2d porn is way better than top tier 3d porn.
>>2905082
What are some top tier 2D porn nowadays? Everything looks like it's animated in flash.
>>2905057
>Whats the point in books when we can read in tablets/phones everywhere
What software is used to make that porn?
>>2905057
Don't they use 3D in porn only because of the low budget and because people have far lower standards for porn? I remember the few tv anime that attempted this 3D technology were always criticized and ridiculed by the japanese audience and bombed hard in terms of bluray and merch sales.
>>2905344
That's actually a really good question.
>>2905344
Literally true though, books take up space both in the house and when carrying it around plus are more expensive. The only thing that books are good for is satisfying the human want for material objects.
>>2905057
dont you need a good 2D drawings for modeling in 3D? not to mention for a moe/kawaii/animu styled model?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SMDLnC-cMU
>>2905344
Yes, what is the point?
>>2906035
Only for references really, the thing is that if you make 3d porn you only need 1 guy to draw a reference sheet each for every character (and maybe another guy to draw backgrounds if that's the visual style you're going for). In 2d porn you need at least 30 guys drawing it so going 2d -> 3d means 29 2d artists become useless.

Textures requires 2d skills as well as setting up proportions
>>2906053
I wouldn't call proportions on a 3d model a 2d skill, I'd argue that proportions on a 2d model is a 3d skill though.

a book doesn't need to get charged?
>>2905344
Go back to facebook, frognigger.
>>2906037
Reading from a book doesn't fuck your eyes like reading from a mobile do
The fact that you can manually turn the pages put the book closer and far away from you and highlights important notes also is a plus
Just the texture and smell of paper beats having to hold awkwardly the phone in every possible angle
At the end of the day, its just like how handwriting is more efficient than typing, doing work manually like your ancestors did before you for a thousand years ring some bells on your brain
Also Old School/Classic >>>>>> Post-modern anyday everyday
>BONUS
You can look smart and/or smug af reading a book
>>2906951
Reading from mobile means you can move your eyes less and therefore read quicker.
>>2906952
But the light fuck your eyes up, and since everyday we use more and more TV/PC/Mobile our eyes are getting dryfucked almost all the time, so if I have the chance to not stress my eyes while doing something I'll take it

e readers a hassle, another expense, another thing you have to charge, etc. I don't see the point when you can just buy used books nowadays for like 2 dollars. unless you're advocating pirating pdfs which sometimes looks like shit and aren't formatted well.
>>2905057
>that looks better than 2D
>when gooks can
Well... it does not. Requires some plugins that are hard to come by (Pencil+ is not easy to find).
>>2907249
There are tons of properly formatted book files on the internet and tons of ways to convert them anyway. E-book reads can last ages on a full charge so that is pretty much a none issue unless you live in a third world shithole.
Plus if you find e-readers a hassle you are legit retardo.
>>2907253
I had an amazon e reader and the charging port got worn down and I had to replace it like 3 times. = hassle. plus imho I know books are just "a series of words arranged a certain way to tell a story" but something about physical books just gives me comfort, like the world is contained in this physical thing and not just some digital abstraction filed away on my shitty devices hard drive.

/lit/ here, you can read from both physical books and e-readers. Physical books allow you to retain the text in your memory better, plus seeing all those books stack up is nice motivation to read more. Makes you feel accomplished. E-readers have the advantage of being very, very convenient. You can get most e-books for free off the internet, and easily find some obscure texts that you wouldn't have been able to find otherwise.
>>2907282
No one gives a shit where you are from fag.
Also source on that study?
>>2905057
This is retarded because of three reasons.
1. 3d models needs textures to look good. Guess what, textures are 2d.
2. 3d models are modeled from a reference. Guess what, references are 2d.
3. To be good at 2d, you also need to be good at 3d, as you need to be able to visualize/memorize forms before you can draw them.
>that looks better than 2D
It's actually criminal how wrong you are.
>>2905057
The trade off for a reusable model is the difficulty in diverting from it.
With 2d and 3d each is faster than the other depending on what you're trying to do with them at the time.
>>2907282
>Physical books allow you to retain the text in your memory better
You're literally lying right now.
>>2905057
yo can I get a source on that pic
>>2908255
I literally amn't. Look it up. Or just try it yourself. Memory of text also has a spatial aspect associated with it. If you've ever studied from a textbook, you probably know how you can recall specific information by remembering where it is on the textbook, e.g: how far it is in the book, at a certain corner of the page, etc. Those memories are enhanced by the physicality of the book. Ebook isn't the same.

>handwriting is more efficient than typing
sureeee

>>2908694
Hey isn't this a similar principle with life drawing?
>>2908705
He's right you know.
>>2908723
Yes. Studying anatomy books or copying photos will never be the same as drawing from life.
