i'm posting images of artists i think know how to draw appealing women/sexual images since this is an area /ic/ seems to take great interest in
(popularly knows for Druuna).
Unusually talented artist with classical training (for this subject matter)
(more surrealist, a German artist from the 20th century)
oops

needs more ShindoL
keepin' it real
Cool artists, but are these all just connected because they have visible tits? Seems a bit dull
>>2879454
>>2879458
That's better
>>2879444
that looks dope, also nice trips
>>2879454
I love Pierre's work; fun fact he partially inspired the Rem "My Religion" music video
keeping. it. real.
not really sexual but w/e
>>2879432
amazing lines and detailing
Love this painting.
>>2879541
Hard to photograph though. It's hard to find one that represents both the saturation of the colors and the reflectiveness of the gold.
>>2879541
I really liked some photographic recreations of Klimt's work (by Inge Prader)
>>2879550
>>2879553
Neat. The sexuality in Klimt's work is really inspiring. It's like a dangerous juxtaposition of the cerebral and carnal.
Whelan, love his work.
d-does /ic/ not keep a collage of their favorite artists... you should
this is samura hiroaki
>>2879430
jfk those lines are so clean and beautiful
>>2879681
I have like 70k images I like saved...that would be a big collage.
>>2879681
i love samura ......
yee
some of these images show that bold but delicate lines are crucial for drawing a woman's figure (skill acquired over years).
this is the opposite of all the horrible loomis and bridgman apostles scratchy boxes and spheres: that stuff is supposed to be conceptual, or to help you understand ****the specific thing you are trying to draw at that moment (a face)*****.
don't literally draw fucking boxes and spheres out of context, unless you're actively studying perspective (on which case, use a fucking ruler/compass so things look relatively clean)

>Girls
>No Manara
>>2880872
my artistic aspiration is a cocktail of klimt, schiele, and mucha
>>2880900
doesn't do anything for me
>>2879454
Nigger I don't even want to begin to think about just how much of world history has been decided simply because some dude wanted to see some tits. Tits are important, whether you like it or not.
>>2880900
Am I supposed to be impressed, or is Manara like a staple for girls in art? I prefer Craig Elliot, his women aren't gangly.
>>2881322
>>2880900
Also look for André François Barbe.
French 70's cartoonist. there's nearly nothing on the internet bout' him, but his linework is spectacular.

I don't understand anything happening in this picture
>naked woman with stick
>fighting giant spider in heels
I don't find this sexual, I just find it confusing
>>2882345
Well it clearly is sexual. I don't know anything about the artist, but high heels are a modern symbol of hyper-femininity. Short sticks are an ancient and still prevalent symbol of power, be they wands to rule over forces of nature or magic, crops to dominate animals, or rods to rule humans. Combine these two symbols with the figure's nudity and you have a very overtly sexual image of female dominance. Whether or not you find it sexy is a completely different topic.
Please attach name of the artist when you post so we don't have to reverse image search them to find.
>>2880899
>those faces
nah thx
>>2882359
or you can go full freudian and explain that the spider is as usual a female symbolism of the mother while the high heels and the stick/rods are phallic symbols.
the phallic symbols fighting against the maternal image in a perverse attempt to deny sexual differences
>>2882580
Sometimes a naked woman in heels fighting a giant spider with a stick is just a naked woman in heels fighting a giant spider with a stick.
>>2879432
That is not a Beardsley. Filename is wrong.
>>2879432
that's Micheal Hutter, this is a Beardsley
>>2879444

>>2883153
i don't like all of pascal blanche's amazon scifi women pieces, but that one i really like
>>2883157
I want to buy prints but it doesn't look like he sells any. should I just cheat and make one myself or cry in a corner
>>2883170
Do a study of his work then print it
>>2883386

I just had a spiritual moment. From now on, I won't masturbate more than once a week.
Drawing from porn is better than actual porn. It allows you to experience the human body on so much higher level. I just had an artistic equivalent of orgasm.
Amazing.
>>2885114>>2884951
Masturbation is our firsht sexual activity *snif* a natural source of pleasure that’sh available to ush throughout our lives, and a unique form of creative self-expresshion. Each time you masturbate *snif*, you are celebrating your sexuality and your innate capacity for pleasure, sho give yourshelf up to this primal act of shelf expreshsion, give yourshelf a hand! *snif*

>>2884855

>>2881322
Colors in this one are gorgeous.
>>2879681
It bothers me that this probably looks a lot better in person.
Moebius
>>2885933
all of these are extremely lewd, pls remove them from my sight at once
I'm praying for your wicked souls.
>>2885959
*click*
these are elementary psychosexual meditations on the subtext of richly layered symbolism found in mr. serpieri's work.
indeed, it would be most unwise to presume that mr. serpieri did not work in trenchant sexual symbolism into his deceivingly simple design about a woman who stumbles naked in extraplanetary hinterlands before getting smacked, grabbed, and toyed with in increasingly convoluted and intricate plots.
>>2881252
lmao fuckin adebisi and his tits
>>2885377
its ok dude, I like him too, but I don't have to read his stuff, I want to
>>2885892
Yes.
>>2885959
lol not at all
simply learning about impressionism/expressionism is enough
Heinrich Kley, I borrowed a book on him once, but I cant find the image a want, still though, everything he does is so great and sex is thrown in for goofs.
>>2887345
Maybe my favorite illustrator of all time. All that weird cool shit from Disney's Fantasia was inspired by Kley's weirdly charming drawings. I love his elephants.
His work sure is hard to find online, isn't it?

>>2887345
Oh, and a long time ago one of my professors lent me a book of Kley's drawings, too. I must have been 19. When she got it back it was all scuffed up and dog eared. I carried that book around everywhere for 2 months. Heh. Thanks for the nostalgia.
>>2880903
yet you draw weeb anime shit
just kidding, i would like to see something of yours
>>2887380
It's sweet that a book your prof lent you had such an impact, but it's also a dick move to not take care of something you are borrowing and then return it in crappy condition.
>>2888494
Yeah, I think I was embarrassed. She accepted my apologies though. She was a really vibrant, encouraging teacher. I wish I could remember her name. This was about 20 years ago. Try carrying a perfect bound paperback around with you 24/7 and flipping through it ten times a day for months. Now I'm nostalgic for the days when I used to wear out books.
>>2888649
Yeah I understand how it gets worn out like that. Man now you're making me nostalgic for days when I'd do stuff like that. Gonna go looking for my Kley book now too haha.
Are you a working artist now then? If that was 20 years ago then you're a fair bit older and more experienced than most people here.
just leaving.. this here
>>2888655
Yes, in my 30's. Been around the block a couple times. I ended up falling for 3D. I do ceramics, glass and metal, but I like to bring a little 2D into my life. What are you into?
>>2889017
I love Araki. Have you seen that documentary on him?
>>2889103
>"Arakimentari", haven't seen it but am gonna.
>>2889131
Yeah that's the one. It's pretty awesome, you can tell he is a man who is having fun with life. He just takes photos constantly and has a huge personality. The women around him beg him to take off their clothes for the photos, it's really bizarre. But at the same time he's also got a more sensitive side and took a lot of nice photos of his wife before she died. It's been a while since I saw it but I remember liking it.

>>2879486
I've never had any love for Boris Vallejo. It's clear that he knows human anatomy and color, but everything I've ever seen from him seems...overdone in some way. Hell I'm looking at this right now and I can't figure out what it is feels off about it.
Anyway, all these posts and no love for Jeremy Mann?
>>2897398
>>2897399
joel witkins
>>2897398
yeah that Boris guy looks really flat, im no expert but i think it might be how he does tone - the whole body uses the same value highlight (white) and shadow. So it looks like a relief sculpture rather than an actual 3d form.
>>2897970
>>2897978
