Draw an equilateral cube in 2PP. I bet you cannot even complete this basic task.
Erase guidelines so that others won't be spoiled.

Go stuff your cube up your rectum.

that's why 3d software was invented you retard.
enjoy constructing geometrically the 45 degree vanishing point every time you want to draw a simple box

thanks, based robertson
fuck you friendo
>>2873518
ive had this "perfect cube" thing explained to me 8 different ways but i physically cannot comprehend what the fuck to do to recreate this. i understand whats happening, but i cant replicate it and i have no idea what im doing wrong.
>>2873567
nigga you connect the lines. Draw them straight, draw the corners downward, straight, and literally just let the lines intersect.
>>2873107
Lmao, that's nothing
>>2873574
then do it
>>2873575
Alright, let me try. This how you do it, right?
>>2873487
>Not having done perspective grids so many times you internalize it

>>2873107
now apply it to something useful
protip you can`t
>>2873590
>You can't apply knowing how to do an equilateral cube in perspective to anything useful
Huh...how about measuring any fucking thing you ant to create from scratch??
>>2873107
technically, you can give the sides going into perspective any width and can be still considered an equilateral cube.
If you can't make one in under a minute youre ngmi
>>2873779
Is this 2 point or 3 point? I'm not sure, I just drew a "Y" and went from there.
>>2873779
3 point
>>2873107
easy
>>2873518
For the yellow line, is there any particular way you're meant to calculate its placement?
I always skew my cubes by plotting shitty vanishing points. A lot of the books I looked at didn't go into great detail on where along the horizon they actually belong.
Also what are the green ones?
>>2873864
first yellow is from random vp to station point
second yellow is at a 90° angle to first
greens are measuring points to replicate the height in perspective
all this stuff is covered in erik olsens perspective series. its tedious but recommended here for a reason.
>>2873864
It's pretty involved to explain it all on /ic/. Not that it's difficult or complicated, there's just a lot of steps to it.
If you want a relatively quick run down on things watch Gary Meyer's GNOMON course on perspective. It's a lot quicker than Erik Olson's.

Thanks gents.
Draw an sphere in 2PP, let's see if /ic/ is up to the challenge
Bump, it'd be pretty cool to see this thread turn into an increasingly harder 2pp challenge
If someone doesn't know how to do it then the guidelines are not going to help them lol
>>2874088
You don't need all that shit to draw a cube. You should be able to do it with less than half of those.
>>2874088
your cube looks messed up even after all that lol
>>2874134
It's called checking your work
>>2873590

Back to /beg

>equilateral cube
That's a redundant as fuck description. OP is a retard.
Also
>erase guidelines so others won't be spoiled
>First pic has guidelines on their cube
Literal retard.
Even children can draw cubes in different perspectives. There's way better exercises and shapes to draw in perspective than the easy-as-FUCK babymode cube.
>>2875177
You misunderstood the question.
When most people ask to draw a cube, the drawer creates a rectangular prism; that is why the word equilateral was added.

Yeah, right. Like the smooth curves of the new dog dong Bad Dragon Dildo you want 3D printed out so you can fuck yourself at night with it, you fucking weirdo.
>>2873518
But how did you find the height?
>>2873670
this is the only anon that has the right idea.
but, seriously update that shit. that version looks older than half /ic/
>>2875294
you give the height you want/need and define all the other lines from there
>>2873107
>equilateral cube
>equilateral
>cube
??
>>2875449
given 2 vanishing points and their center of view (or an angle between them), you can either geometrically or arithmetically determine precisely 5 45-degrees vanishing points that translate measures in one direction to another.
Or you can use some convoluted and inexact rules of thumb, like the ones in scott robertson's books
Or you can use any 3d software to do it fast and precise, like normal people would.
it's time to separate the autists from the normies.
construct a cube in 3 point perspective.
>>2875814
That cube looks wrong.
>>2875823
That's because it is wrong.
>>2875824
are these not cubes?
>>2873107
odd that i stumbled upon this thread. i just failed at this very task.
