Hey there, /ic/ newfag, but 4chan oldfag here.
I'm shit at digital art so I paint with traditional watercolours and inks, then scan them in and edit them a little in Photoshop. Here's one of my latest. I usually paint sci-fi dream-like almost lovecraftian landscapes, but also paint less surreal landscapes too. I just wanted to share my art here and see what you all think of it. Will post more in the replies.
I should also mention I have an art blog here: http://the-campfire.tumblr.com/
I'm not sure if it's ok to share blogs on this board but I just figured if you'd like to see higher res images of my art you can do so there.
Amazing but I find the subjects dumb

Thanks, what do you mean by the subjects?
Do you mean you don't like the sci-fi theme?
Here's an example of my more terrestrial art.
I also like to paint mythical creatures/cryptids. Here's two examples, a Jackalope and a grey alien. I have a lot more but I'll stop dumping for a while. See if anyone else replies.

concepts are very creative. If you work on your technique, you could really say something with these ideas.

Thank you! I dunno if I wanna get all pretentious and "say something" with it all. I just like to visualize the concepts I come up with regularly. I'd like to sell my art somehow but I'm not really sure if people would buy it. Or how I'd even sell it, it's always just been a hobby to me.

Thanks man, since you appreciated that one here's another down to earth one.
And if characters are more your sort of thing I occasionally paint those too. Here's a painting of Jack Nicholson's character from The Shining alongside MTV's Daria.
I'm not totally happy with Daria though, her face looks weird and ugly but that's probably just a result of trying to paint a cartoon character with realistic proportions.

Daria is alright, is stylized without mucb issue but something on Jack Nicholson looks off, its not stylized properly
