First: Look on craigslist for cheap intuoses. If you can't find any, just buy one of the cheaper intuos. Or a Huion if you are brave.

They seem the same, but they come with different software.
The first one comes with a copy of clip studio, which is pretty good. If you already have a painting program you like, just get the least expensive one.

What's so bad about the huion? I have an old bamboo and It works okay still but I'm looking at the H610 and seems to be pretty decent for it's price. Besides driver issues that seem to be fixable, are there any real drawbacks about it at that price range?

IIRC huion giano had weird stroke problems when drawing, and had a pen you had to charge every now and then or just draw with a charger wire, which could be an issue to some people

I didn't check but I deactivated the hand function and now works good. It doesn't look like driver related though.

I want to try one, they look pretty good for the price, but most opinions or reviews seem to be contradictory, some praise it, some hate it.
It's confusing.
