I second doing what you want. If you do it for fun (meaning you do it in your spare time and don't freeze up about "looking good to an audience" etc. too much) then you will make more stuff, pop up on people's feeds more, get a bigger audience, etc. See >>2858557

See, here's the thing. Furry porn when done for the money can be bad, see pic related.
But there are some very legit artists that have put in the work and understand how to draw and paint.
What makes the difference in the furry industry is that furfags that want their omg-so-special OC done RIGHT NOW, so if there's a shittier artist willing to do work, and are cheaper, they're gonna get commissioned, and since they're getting comms, they won't improve because they don't need to.
When you get to even just like Mithril07's work, or the linked gallery of Darkgem, you'll see that sometimes, an artist just really wanted to be good at porn. And also learn some fundamentals along the way.
