What Does /ic/ think of Krita?
And post things made in Krita if you want.
>>2841038
Laggy as fuck and just made it run on win10.
But hey, it's free!
Best free software.
The program you would recommend if someone thought GIMP was the only thing on Linux.
Best mascot.
>>2841038
Has someone made porn of the mascot yet?
I'm asking for a friend.
>>2841038
>that color picker and tools all close to the mouse
That seems pretty cool. Is there a PS extension like that?
>>2841038
I don't like it's layers and masking
but it's free
Great free software, but reliability issues for me (and I have a pretty good computer, believe me folks)
>can't consistently drag/drop animation frames
>has stopped exporting animations period (I wonder if this is because it relies on ffmpeg and doesn't have its own native solution)
Easily the most potential of any graphics software. If it was less of a resource hog and could temporarily format images expressly for exporting like Photoshop does (i.e. the "save for web" option/ImageReady) it would be pretty much perfect in every way.
The best.
Then scripting and stacked brushes will be added it'll become nearly perfect.
>>2841038
Garbage.
Just pirate photoshop if you cannot spare $10.
I transitioned from Win10 to Linux:Kubuntu a few months ago (I realized I only use the computer on web browsing and drawing).
Simply put, everything I ever had to deal with got twice or even thrice faster, no one bothers me about updates, viruses or any other of the stupid shit that drove me crazy as a slave to Microsoft.
Except for some of the animation features, Krita works perfectly.
>>2841067
kek, stay classy /ic/
...on the second thought, I'm also interested.
>>2841038
The mascot is cute!
>>2841554
cute :3

>Linux is 2-3 times faster
I'm skeptical
>>2841038
Damn, I just googled the author and he's got some nice stuff on his website.

>Implying windows should be better because you're paying for it
At least try a Linux distro like Antergos. Not only it's easier to use than windows but it's faster and works out of the box with wacom tablets.
Linux is commonly used where high performances are required while windows is only used by uneducated sheeps. Think the way you want but please stop memeing nonsense.
>>2841631
>Linux distro like Antergos.
Use Manjaro, dammit.
brushes are awful compared to MyPaint, but at least it's full-featured
I'm too used with photoshop.
Trying to work o krita these days, but I can't feel comfortable with it.
Better than SAI, worse than photoshop
Not that I know, I'm not good enough to notice the diference yet.

Sadly it's not compatible with my cheap Monoprice tablet.

You have to post work to be allowed such faggotery.
>itt krita shills, take your bloated software elsewhere
New Krita release today, fuckers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s08oHOjxo84
I installed it once and it had a shitton of useless brushes you can't delete. Uninstalled and never tried it again.

I want rotation tool in Krita. Life would be better
Btw Krita doing a User Survey so if you at least tried Krita you can help developers by answering some questions:

What you mean by rotation tool?
To rotate canvas you can set "rotate mode" button in the Configure -> Canvas Input. Shift+Space+LMB by default.
>>2842326
>What you mean by rotation tool?
PS and Sai have it. It allows you to freely rotate canvas.Very helpful tool to me
>>2842343
Well, there is no tool, only hotkeys.
>>2842415
>That's a feature, not a bug!
>>2842415
There is pan and zoom tools, faggot. But no rotate tool.
I think devs can easily make dat tool if you request it.
>>2842433
My mistake I honestly forget they existed, I only use the pan and zoom from the Canvas Input Settings. It's the more sensible way to pan/zoom/rotate IMO.
>>2842437
I don't use these tool too but I think it's important for guys with MS Surface or something like that.
>>2842433
>But no rotate tool
Shift+Space you faggot deluxe
>>2842415

Better at environment than they are on characters. They shade everything in a flat dimension so their characters look extra flat when you know the legs and arms should have more form to it.
