You're procrastinating doing the hard work and instead are downloading useless tutorials you'll never use because you view it as progress. You can read about soccer techniques and strategies all you want, but unless you're on the field scrimming and doing drills you won't get better. Have fun wasting time finding the "best learning approach" instead of actually doing what you need to do.
>>
>>2820136
not gonna make it

Fagggot, that's why paying for shit makes you actually go through it.
>>
>>2820198
Pick up Keys to Drawing and finish it, faggot, that's the best learning approach. Come back once you're done
>>
>>2820232
libgen.io for books, I've gotten many art texts from that site.
>>
>>2820199
Its better to waste time on learning instead of just drawing
>>
>>2820136

Same. Why does hoarding art tutorials feels so damn good? I literally get high when I see a new 10 gb release on cgpeers
>>
>>2820307
because you will NEVER gonna make it
>>
>>2820136
Here's a quick tutorial on how to actually start:

>step 1: delet dis
>step 2: get Keys to Drawing
>step 3: read through it; do the exercises as soon as they show up; don't even think of skipping them temporarily to read more before you're done with them.
>>
>spent time downloading stuff
>didn't draw

>complains that he didn't improve
>>
>>2820136

t. Sparkless fag.
>>
>>2820136
It's sad looking through these beginner threads, sites like deviantart, and even forums where despite all the hard work people put in( hell even when they study their fundamentals) they make very little progress over the years. Yes the more you draw the better you will get, yes studying Loomis will help you make gains but the fact of the matter is if you aren't you will NEVER reach a professional level. You think most professional artists studied loomis for decades before they "git gud" ? No, it only takes a few years. My point is simple, if you been practicing for more than 3 years and you're still shit, then chances are you'll be shit forever, quit wasting your time.

If we assume one's IQ is high enough, is he guaranteed to succeed?
>>
>>2820377
If their will is strong enough, yes, there's virtually no way to fail.

Unless you live in a shithole of a coutry and don't really have paper, then you're fucked.
>>
>>2820377
>If we assume one's IQ is high enough, is he guaranteed to succeed?
IQ helps, but only effort counts.
>>
>>2820136
The perfect time to do nothing is when you always have a chance to do something
>>
>>2820198
You have all the best approaches at your fingertips, gigabytes upon gigabytes of professional artists' drawings, lessons and philosophies, you're just too retarded to actually put in the work require to study them, practice and get better.

Not gonna make it

>spend a year of hoarding about 600 gb of stuff for inspiration
>found my best learning approach with the biggest improvement results per unit of effort
>have to force myself now to brows /ic/ for more than 5 min per day, event for res collecting

.
>bonus: when I lose internet connetion I don't go ''ups, there we go, now I have to wait for internet until I can start drawing again''

upgrading from my 80gb hdd (which included OS and games too) to an 1tb was one of the best decisions of my life

Why, though? You should start with getting used to draw a lot and fast.

You draw fast when you actually know how to draw.

You'll never get there if you don't know how to draw fast. There's a reason why keys to drawing is a good book.

what do you guys have on video? I'm actually learning a lot of shit through video, and when I draw I see that I improve.

if you guys want to share shit about digital painting and rendering...

>recomend a friend Erik Olson's perspective series months ago, 70gb of videos, 100+ hours

Books and videos are good for technical stuff, they are great for perspective and anatomy, but when you want to do some gesture training you have to actually learn by yourself because noone, I refuckingpeat, NOONE KNOWS HOW TO TEACH YOU.

>can you feel the force here?
>see how the force push this?
