do I buy a drawing tablet and hope for the best? I'd rather do it myself so everything has a personal vibe to it
sorry for the shit thread
Just pay somebody dude, you're not going to be happy with anything you make for years and if you are happy with it you're probably going to be a dunning-kruger laughingstock

or you can set the dpi on your mouse really low and draw like that.

This is only somewhat related in an aesthetic psychology kind of way, but it's probably best to take >>2815613's advice here. If this is the first album you're making, people will be judging you as a complete package. It's best to look clean and approachable when nobody knows anything about you.
Like, imagine if the first Beatles album had the White Album cover. If it had succeeded it would've done so on quirk factor alone, and even that's unlikely. You need time to get an audience before you're able to just throw out bullshit without turning people off.
Also having another person collaborate with you makes you look less like a dA autist and lends legitimacy within itself.

You could use Photoshop and do some shit with the pen tool - might work out. If you've got an idea in mind, sketch it out on paper, and then scan in and trace over. I dunno, just throwing in my two pence.
Draw on a piece of paper
Scan it/photo it
Import to Gimp/photoshop
???
Profit
just hire some J.O. from /ic/ for you.

Not gonna make it.

What kind of album art do you need? And what kind of music do you make?
I am not bad at drawing according to some but I suck at music, I'm finishing a new track but I need to make it longer songs (current one is 1:50 and I have no idea how to master it's audio channels) if you want you can pay me with feedback and some crash course on composition and mastering
