Don't get me wrong, I love digital painting/art.

But man,using a canvass the size of multiple humans to paint this kind of stuff is awe inspiring.

Do you prepare before going to the exhibitions?
Right now in Russian Museum in Saint-Petersburg there is an Ivan Aivazovsky exhibition in honour of his 200th anniversary.
For it they gathered a number of his works from all over the country.
I plan to go rather prepared but I think just reading his biography won't do it, what can you suggest?
