Ask yourself, what defines his style. The edges are soft and brush strokes a rough and organic.

There's almost no pure black in any of his paintings, the shades, though soft, are not perfectly blended giving it that rough, unfinished look.

Materials are given juuust enough strokes to allow them to "read". The colour palette is very diverse. Take some time to pick out colours from his paintings to see where they sit in relation to each other on the colour wheel.

Notice how each element in the painting has several hues? That brings life to the subjects.

His style appears very "smokey" where the eyes aren't meant to linger. He is very economical with his strokes, never overdoing anything he paints.
