How do I draw good anime eyes?
I don't mean how to draw a generic anime eye in a generic style from the front, I mean, what kind of 3d shape a big, expressive with thick eyelashes makes? There are plenty of pictures (and of course real life) to take reference for real eyes, but for anything more abstract it's just symbols. I know most people who draw moe just memorize how it should look from most angles, but I find this inefficient if you want to have a little face variation on your characters.

>draw circle
>draw smaller circle inside said circle
>draw stylized lashes around circles
Know the structure of the face, where the eyes sit in the sockets. From here its just practice and stylistic choices.

Why /ic/ always parrots these meaningless phrases that sound smart to retards?
I can draw realistic eyes. My problem is with stylization.

nothing he said is wrong, if you know how to draw realistic eyes accurately from any angle from imagination, all you need then is to experiment and look at artists that stylize in a way you like
