My friend who play the piano is already quite good and is going to study in a music conservatory next year. When I asked him how much he exercise he told me about 2 hours a day + 1 hour of theory.
He is already quite good and he can play little concerts and stuff like that.

I think that you should want to practice 8 hours a day. That expansion of workload is important if you want to do art as a profession.

Now, will it make you good? Probably better off that you were before - the learning curve for art is pretty unpredictable. There will be days where you learn more in 2 hours than in you did in the past 3 days. Conditions vary, aptitudes vary, and across the board the 8 hour rule is really the grenade in the room method of teaching.
