If you're posting art on this site and your mental age isn't like a 30 year old then you're not going to get anything out of the criticisms here and they'll probably do more harm to your enjoyment of creation than improve your design.

I know this thread seems dead but can anyone tell me if this style has a name for it?

Depends on where you wanna teach. I'm sure a high school or elementary school cares more about your ability as a teacher (I.E. interacting with kids, maintaining control, not molesting them) then your artistic ability so they would hire pretty much anyone imo. Also I'm going to a non-art state college atm and signed up for a basic drawing class cause I thought it'd be fun. I just looked up all of the staff they have on hand and 90% can not draw for shit and their portfolio consists of weird modern art shit like gluing twigs onto a canvas. I was actually fooled by one of their portfolios cause the paintings looked really good but it turns out that they just printed out old master paintings onto a canvas and scribbled on top of them with a marker and called it an original piece. Point is that these guys are teaching people at a reasonably priced state university so I'm sure skill isn't a factor at all at these types of places. Now if you tried to teach at an actual art school like art center, RISD, Sheridan or w/e then they would probably look at your work, industry experience, etc and make sure you're actually a competent professional. So if you wanna teach "art" to normies I'm sure there are places that'll hire you.

Yes they need to have a complete understanding of the fundamentals and they must be able to do a draw-over or replicate the subject quickly by eye in order to show a process, technique or show you how to correct a mistake. They must always be able to back up their critique with reason, experience or plain fact and very little personal opinion.
