Part of learning how to draw something is learning when to bend the rules and how to make it more to your liking.

Study it for what it is and then experiment with different effects. If you don't want lumpy cottage cheese fat, then omit some texture and round out the forms. You don't need to keep true to life if you're not trying to.

I draw BBWs all the time and place a big emphasis on the s and c curves of the gesture and contour. That really brings in the appeal, even if you want to add in extra fat like rolls or squish, flab, cellulose, etc. Vary body types by practicing apple/pear shapes, too.
