Videos work a lot better for me than books. If I wanted to learn everything... let's say from sticky but in a video form, what would you recommend me to watch?

Vilppu, Proko, Jeff Watts videos, gumroad rip of Scott Robertson, cgpeers of Watts Atelier and Schoolism videos.
Somebody call a /thread

Oh and other things you need are in first posts of general threads like DrawThread, AnimationThread etc.
I want to know for sure:
Do I miss a lot by skipping books? I want to be a pro in relatively short time.

Proko for anatomy, Erik Olsen for perspective, these have been amazing for me

>I want to be a pro in relatively short time
You need mileage and this will take years in the best case scenario where you draw 8 hours a day. Looking for shortcuts (ie. not studying all the info you can get regardless of source) is just going to affect you negatively in the long run.

What I meant is that I get a lot more from videos but at the same time I don't want to skip any crucial stuff.
I stopped drawing almost at all because I know my fundamentals are lacking and I want to know how to make it good. I drew shit my entire life but when I actually started using one rule I got from here - I improved a lot. I want to know more stuff so I can do better instead of just repeating mistakes over and over.

there are fewer good artists doing videos than there are who have written books. proko himself for instance is just repeating what he learned from various masters including Loomis. so the answer is no, you should still study books regardless.

thats not the best case scenario lol, its standard for fast improvement

No one draws for 8 hours a day, everyday for several years.

Wow he looks faggier than I thought. And don't be a retard. Humans can't just draw for eight hours straight; you would burn out in a hurry.
>>2747415
Well numb-nuts your fucking wrong and the proof is in the pudding so to say.
>>2747466
You're not very bright, are you?
>>2747415
>people can't work for eight hours
>people can't study for eight hours
>people can't sleep for eight hours
Not going to make it.

algenpfleger drew for 12 hours a day (obviously with breaks, no one said you had to do it all in one sitting). he got carpel tunnel in both his arms though, but he started when he was 19 and made it by the time he was 23.

What's your endgoal? just a nice hobby, or hoping to make a living out of art?
Simon Dominic alias BaronImpossible started in his mid 30s and became a pro within three years.
If anything it helps being older because you're mentally mature.

Just a hobby, be able to represent my ideas without it looking like shit.
But I wouldn't mind getting some comissions every now and then.
